In a sensitization webinar held today for 2020 Batch B Stream II Corp Members, tagged Protecting The health Of The Nigerian Youth: Safe Reopening Of NYSC Orientation Camps, the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) Camp Safe Reopening Project Lead, Dr Oyeladun Okunromade made aware the change of date in the opening of orientation camps and the safety measures put in place. Orientation camps would reopen on the 19th of January, not 18th.
There won’t be any form of religious gatherings in camp. We encourage virtual activities and corps members are required to come on camp with their face masks and other personal protective materials as the NYSC would not provide those. Maami market has been significantly reduced in line with the new normal. There won’t be any sitting down with friends to dine at the market but there will take-aways.
Upon reopening, a total of 200 corps members would resume daily and undergo a covid test before gaining access into the camp while those tested positive would be isolated at approved NCDC health facilities. Corps Members who fail to be on camp at the allotted date given while filling the form on the website risk resuming with the next batch.
