Shortly after his Mavin Records collaboration on the hit song Overloading (Overdose) alongside his label mates Ayra Starr, Boy Spyce, Ladipoe and Magixx, Crayon is back with his latest single Ijo (Laba Laba). The Sarz-produced single is a fusion of House, Amapiano and Afropop influences. “Ijo (Laba Laba) is a song intended to drive you to dance – regardless of your current predicament. As colourful and bubbly as a butterfly, this is a song that lifts your spirit and soul.” Crayon says “You should also appreciate the multicultural vibe by singing in multiple languages. This is music that soundtracks a carnival”.

Born and raised in Lagos, Charles Chibueze Chukwu popularly known as Crayon debuted in the Afropop scene in 2019. He signed with Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and released his debut EP, Cray Cray which was one of the most celebrated projects of that year. Since then, he has dished out several hit songs like So Fine, Tele by Kelvyn Boy, Too Correct with Rema off his 2021 EP Twelve A.M that featured the likes of Bella Shmurda and One Acen and recently, the Overloading (Overdose) single. Already getting an endorsement from Grammy-Award winner, Wizkid and 2baba, and relentlessly whetting his skills and sound in the studio, Crayon is ready to have one of his biggest years yet.
