Ever clad in multiple hats, a move that highlights his laudable roots in music, DAP The Contract handles the production reins on Trouble, despite the firm grip he also has on the single’s introduction. Trouble is his first post-project single and with the direction the four-track I’m Glad You Made It This Far took, gleaning DAP’s intent on this single is as breezy as the way his muse makes him feel.
Contrary to expectations, the duo comes together in the second chorus and makes the most of the individuality, finding common ground in feelings and music.
