For the first time since everyone decided to spice up their sounds with Duncan Mighty’s traditional flavoring, we’re finally seeing him in his turf; the unbending and culturally dense city of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria in the visuals for recently released DMW single; Aza. The duo of Davido and Peruzzi who recruited Duncan Mighty for this highlife finessed track, slum it up to affirm their desires rooted in rich Nigerian culture.
The three talents take individual routes in the city as they profess their love in varying landscapes that showcase the unrefined nature of Port-Harcourt. They finally converge in the concluding scenes which exhibits the peculiar way the Southerners of Nigeria turn up for ceremonies as Davido is coronated a Chief.
The Clarence Peters directed video isn’t centering around the sole theme of love but more of an appraisal of culture and how it defines us.
