2017 went down as one of the best years for Davido as the artist soared through the charts with his top hit singles If, Like Dat, Fia and Fall. Breaking a new record and snatching the title formerly held by Yemi Alade’s Johnny, Davido’s Fall has become the most viewed videos in Nigeria and the first Nigerian video to hit the 100 Million views mark on YouTube. Yemi Alade’s Johnny is however sitting pretty as the second most viewed video in Nigeria with 98 Million views.

The artist’s plan for his 2017 releases was to give his Nigerian fans content specifically for them using a back to basics theme while taking a break from living his mark on the international market. He achieved this purpose and ironically, Fall also gave him his first entry on the Billboard RnB/ Hip-Hop Airplay Chart peaking at number 48 a few days ago. The artist also has two of his videos ranked on the top 10 most viewed videos on YouTube in Nigeria with If garnering 72 Million views and Fia getting 56 Million views.
