It’s no secret that the Afro Carribean community favors Nigerian music a lot. From Davido’s collaborations with Popcaan to the latter picking Lagos as the location for acclaimed single, Dun Rich to Morgan Heritage’s affinity for Afropop hybrids which translated into a Patoranking feature earlier this year, the community has unashamedly displayed their reverence for our music and this week, Kranium basks in the glow of Davido and Speroachbeatz’s Carribean inspired instrumentals on Risky on a refix of the same song.
On Kranium’s refix, he stays true to form with a more sensual narrative revolving around his sexually charged brand as a Charmer but keeps the track’s instrumentals and Davido’s famous chorus. Though not nearly as good as the original track, Kranium’s Risky refix is a wonderful alternative for those who favor sultry lyrics and for more hazy settings.
