Popstar, Davido has been nominated in the Favourite Global Music Star category in the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Davido is indeed on a roll. Following the interminable success of Fall almost two years after its release, making it the longest-charting Afrobeats song on Billboard. He went ahead to make a remix with ace American rapper Busta Rhymes and Prayah, a move that is aimed at fully inducting Davido as a Global hit-maker.
Losing to Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo in 2018 in the Favourite African Star category, Davido’s work these past months has seen him score another nod. This time David didn’t just make the list, he is also placed at a pedestal alongside a few music heavyweights like America’s Taylor Swift, Europe’s David Guetta and Latin America’s J Balvin. Asia’s BLACKPINK and UK’s HRVY in the Favourite Global Music Star category.
This year’s edition of the highly celebrated awards will be hosted by DJ Khaled and is slated to hold on Saturday March 23 2019.
The superhero movie, Avengers: Infinity War leads the pack with 10 nominations including the “Favourite Movie” category.
However, International voters can do so through the Nick Play app in regions where it is available. There will also be a medium to vote via social media on Twitter, and for the first time ever, Nickelodeon will enable voting on specific Instagram posts.
