Davido’s 2017 smash Fall that recently began to come up among Americans, giving it’s Billboard debut on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart at number 45 in December has been on a roll as it records new leap on charts week in and week out.
The massive reception of Fall in America has seen American rappers Busta Rhymes and Prayahhop on the record, which has been tipped as a teaser before the release of the official remix featuring an American heavyweight, hoping to see Davido cement his place in the international market.
This week, Fall has moved all the way up to become the 17th most played song on American radio also furthering it’s reign as the longest charting Afrobeats song on Billboard, reaching a new peak at Number 17 on the R&B/Hip-HopAirplay Chart.
Once at 26, now 17 and possibly finding it’s way to the top 10, it’s telling that the foreign market is more than ready for Davido hence his intention to dish multiple projects that would cater specifically for both the African & US markets.
Courtesy of Fall‘s success, Davido’s celebrity in the US has since quadrupled that even America’s Tamar Braxton wants in on his forthcoming project.
Quite an exciting time for the Nigerian music industry.
