For many, the physical absence of their lover is a no-no forcing them to completely avoid long distance relationships. While Davina and Tim Lyre don’t make their stance clear, the nostalgia they show for a lover on Lagos is one you probably only let out if the desire isn’t one-sided.
Her first release since her debut album, Love to a Mortal doesn’t see the apple fall too far from the tree as Davina returns to the topic of love. With lines like ‘take me back, the one I love is in Lagos’, you cannot help but enter Davina’s shoes temporarily and recall either a past trip or lover who could no longer be because of location.
