D’Banj And Cassper Nyovest Go All Out In Video For Just Released Something For Something

Now that the just released Shake It with Tiwa Savage has opened the floodgate, D’Banj is unrelenting with his sonic releases this month. The year might be drawing to an end but DB Records label leader seems to be just getting started with a likely weekly release of singles.

Last week he made a comeback with Shake It and this week he enlists award winning South African rapper; Cassper Nyovest whose presence in the record is a herald of the content and intent of the bass led track titled Something For Something which comes with a Nate Thomas directed video shot in South Africa.

D’Banj relapses into the character that put him on our radars and takes over the fast paced rhythm of the song, dispensing lines that allude the trade by barter theme of the song even going as far as adopting an indigenous South African tongue to spice things up and inspiring Cassper to do more than rap.

The accompanying video is a standard D’Banj effort that sees him and Cassper dancing and performing against backdrops draped in affluence.

We are glad the Kokomaster is back and can not wait for a full release of the sonic gems he seems to have kept hidden.
