DJ Spinall Taps Industry Giants For New Album “Top Boy”

Nigerian disc jockey, record producer, songwriter, label executive, Spinall has released a 15-track album. The album, themed Top Boy, is the artiste’s 6th album, is a documentation of the artiste’s strides in African music, which is supported by collaborations from stellar industry acts.

Lasting 45 minutes, the album is a taste of everything, from the exploration of love to the braggadocio of flex lifestyles, amidst a host of other relative themes. The album features tracks including Cruise, Everyday, Give Me Love, Cloud 9, Oshey Mama, Honest, Palazzo, Bow Down, Outside, Just to Be, Bunda and Sere (Remix). The project is an exploration into the creative’s journey, with cool tracks that explores different genres in Afrobeats diverse discography.

Previously known as DJ Spinall, Spinall (born Oluseye Desmond Sodamola) dropped his wonder track, Palazzo, featuring Asake, and co-written by Olamide, which debuted at number 6 on the UK Afrobeats Singles chart, and reached number 4. The record also debuted at number 7, and number 4 at the Nigeria Turntable Top Streaming Songs chart.

In 2014, Spinall launched TheCAPMusic, a record label/management company, and he currently holds the records of being the first African DJ to perform at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas; the official DJ for BET Awards in Los Angeles, California; the first Nigerian DJ to headline[22] a show at XOYO in London and the first Nigerian DJ to perform at the Glastonbury Festival.

On his newly released album, Spinall collaborates with industry professionals including Minz, Niniola, Asake, Olamide, Azanti, Zaiam, Minz, Adekunle Gold, BNXN, Stefflon Don, Reekado Banks, Phyno, Ladipoe and Fireboy DM.
