DJ Tunez taps Adekunle Gold and Del B for new track, My Love

Over the past year, DJ Tunez has made his most visible shift from simply serving as Brooklyn’s hottest African DJ to actually having his name in the credits of songs. He has scored production credits on commercially successful tracks like Iskaba and Get Up and further delivered a four-track EP with Shaydee. While the EP was forgettable and failed to make any mark on the market, Tunez has gradually made the jump from DJ to artist-producer and continues to provide references in agreement with this point of view as does his opening single of the year, My Love.

On My Love, DJ Tunez collaborates with Adekunle Gold and Del B who produces the effort which comes from a three month period which Tunez spent putting in many hours in studios across the globe. Just as the name suggests, we hear lines that center around a lover and the readiness to do anything necessary to please her. Adekunle Gold does what he does better than everyone else as he blends Pidgin, Yoruba and English over a slow tempo beat which dominantly features drums.
