DJ Tunez, Reekado Banks And Wizkid Come Through With Alluring Energy on ‘Turn Up’

Festivities and wilding out are synonymous with the Holidays. It’s usually one thing to celebrate the birth of Jesus and another to get completely lost in the high spirits that characterizes the Holiday. What better way to lose oneself completely to it than on a plane that combines lax lyrics delivered by our favourites and great sounds to give direction to our body movements.

Ahead of DJ Tunez’s live set at Hard Rock Cafe slated for the 20th of December and in fulfilment of an announcement made weeks ago, in collaboration with Wizkid and Reekado Banks; two artistes well versed in the art of making pop music, the former serves us his own share of Holiday sonic supplies in form of a mid tempo, mood inducing piece he calls Turn Up; an apt title considering the content and intent of the track.

In a way peculiar to both, Reekado Banks and Wizkid project the uniqueness we’ve come to love them for. While Reekado presents himself as the mood easer who introduces us to the hazy ambience made possible by Baby Fresh and Honteronthebeat, he gives leeway to Wizkid; the original crowd controller, who swoops in in his usual lax fashion to deliver a number of lines to take us on trips that will feature heavily in a myriad of settings this Christmas.

This year, we have seen the best of DJ Tunez, in Pepesu, Too Much and now Turn Up. We hope to see him keep the same energy in the coming year.
