In the last couple of years, The Plug has built for itself a stable that’s home to a range of Nigerian artists at different stages in their careers. While the likes of Davido and Mayorkun have taken their place at the center of the mainstream, the company is seeking to take more talents at the incubation stage of their careers. This week, it has announced the signing of DJ Wayne and Jinmi Abduls.
DJ Wayne, a CC Night regular is known for bringing an alternative dose of trap, afro beats, rap, hip hop, and ’90s R&B to Lagos nightlife.

Speaking on the signing, The Plug’s co-founder Asa Asika comments: “I’m very excited to add more talent to our catalogue. Our aim as always is to push and help to create more superstars.”
Jinmi Abduls who put out his debut project, JOLAG last year has marked his territory and is expected to release a new single, Abena on the 24th of May.
The decision to sign with The Plug should only see the development and growth of both acts.
