Dyo has been on our radars since she impressed on Adekunle Gold‘s Down With You. The following year, she picked up the pace with a Mr Eazi feature on her own single, Go All The Way and the Parker Ighile produced Arena. Building on her budding fame and favorable ambiance, she made a play at significance with Can’t Buy Your Love and today, it all culminates into her sophomore 6-track EP, Dyologue.

Dyo is a conversationalist endowed with velvety vocals that ease the articulation of her realistic and relatable narratives, on Dyologue, it’s heightened and obvious especially with an introductory track titled Real which is as much a revelation of herself as a discovery of the extent of her talent. She sonorously breezes through the EP’s six tracks with her confidence, passion and uniqueness standing out.

Though the instrumentals morph into one another easily, each track carries a pronounced difference from the last in the way specific parts blend with the theme of the song it belongs to like the gyrating bass on Arena that makes it stand out from the condensed bass on Real and the Dancehall inspired drums on the Mr Eazi assisted Go All The Way, among others.

Dyologue is theme constrained as it largely revolves around romantic narratives but Dyo’s superpowers include mesmerizing you with vocals and an aura that will leave you wanting more and she does exactly this on the 6-track project.
