On Twitter, yesterday, Culture Custodian Editor-in-chief, Mayowa Idowu ran a thread titled, #EchoesFromThePast. He highlighted some of the problems Nigeria is facing today which look as if they’re all new but are issues we’ve struggled with in the past. The relationship between Nigeria of the 80s and the 21st Century Nigeria we have today is shown through issues such as fuel subsidy, Buy Naija to Grow Naija, the devaluation of the naira and the woes of the Super Eagles.
The intention with this project is to inspire conversations on the failure of the leadership considering that we still suffer from the same issues 30 years on.
