We are suckers for good TV shows and lately, we’ve been following a couple of really good Nigerian ones on DStv. It will be wrong for us to unearth these gems and not share them with you guys, so here you go!

Enakhe: Set in modern-day Benin City, Enakhe follows a rebellious daughter who after the sudden death of her father is forced by circumstances to grow in every way possible to become the leader of her extended family and the family’s criminal empire while contending with antagonists both physical and otherwise. One of our favorite things about Enakhe is its stellar cast which features notable names like Alex Usifo, Ivie Okujaye, Lancelot Oduwa Imaseun, and Lota Chukwu among others. And there is a whole community out there on Twitter constantly discussing the twists and turns in the show. You can catch Enakhe on Africa Magic Showcase, DStv channel 151 every day at 8:30 PM.

Riona: A wicked King. A village under siege. Strata. Class. And an Uprising. Riona really brings the drama home. It follows King Otokun as he does all he can to stop a dark prophecy from being fulfilled. Riona features Elvina Ibru, Najite Dede, Frank Konwea, Thelma Nwosu, and more. It airs on Africa Magic Showcase, DStv channel 151 every day at 8 PM.

Shoot Your Shot: Nerves, guts, and aww-inducing love stories. Africa Magic’s brand new show, ‘Shoot Your Shot’ hosted by actress and BBNaija alumna, Bisola Aiyeola is everything! ‘Shoot Your Shot’ might be a popular phrase in pop culture and social media but the show is like nothing we’ve ever seen on Nigerian TV. Bisola and the ‘Shoot Your Shot’ team set the ball rolling for secret admirers to voice their feelings for their crush. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t, but the build-up and the dates make for a really good watch. You can catch Africa Magic, DStv Channel 151 at 6:30 PM every Sunday!
