After the release of a string of singles including Osu Freestyle featuring Medikal, Eugy is back on the scene with his latest EP Home Run. This EP shines a light on talent from his motherland, Ghana. After spending a significant amount of time in Accra over the last few years, he takes on the role of the Prodigal Son. Home Run not only sees Eugy reconnecting with his roots but with the vibe and the sounds currently making waves in the country.
The opening track Show Me The Light features rising Ghanaian drill rapper Jay Bahd. The pair go back and forth on this punchy drill beat. On this song, Eugy highlights his experience with negative individuals who want to see him lose. Even through all of the negativity, he still shows gratitude to his source (God) for “Keeping him safe” always.
This 6 track EP also includes features from Dancegod Lloyd, Efya, Medikal, Chop Daily, Skillibeng and Kuami Eugene. The Amapiano inspired track I Need A Boo featuring Kuami Eugene is the perfect song for cuffing season. Kuami ‘s smooth vocals on the hook compliment Eugy’s vocals perfectly. This catchy Nektunez produced track will have you on your feet before you know it!
A fan favourite is definitely the viral track My Touch (Skillibeng Remix) featuring Chop Daily and Skillibeng. My Touch is such a fun, upbeat song and is the perfect way to close this project. If you haven’t listened to the EP, check it out below!
