Everything You Need To Know About Homecoming Festival 2022

Homecoming Festival has returned to Lagos, Nigeria for its fourth edition, where there will be performances from the likes of Fireboy DML and the new Ghanaian sensation, Black Sherif. As in the previous editions, Homecoming Festival 2022 is set to be a celebration of music, fashion, sport, and arts. Founded by Grace Ladoja, the festival which kicked off on Friday, April 15, aims to celebrate African creativity and empower African youths with the knowledge and resources needed to achieve future innovation.

Performances will be delivered by Asake, Zinoleesky, Victony, Poco Lee, Lojay, BNXN (Buju), Lancey Foux, Fave, Central Cee, Deto Black, DJ Obi, Teezee, Raebel Sgawo, Maison2500, Midas the Jagaban, Prettyboy D-0. The performances are scheduled to take place at the live show on Sunday at Harbour Point, Lagos.

A fashion pop-up on Saturday at Alara Concept Store will grant free entry to those who wish to partake of it. At the pop-up, pieces will be showcased from fashion labels including Denim Tears, Off-White, Stussy, Cactus Flea Market, and Market Motherlan & Ambush.

The festival will likewise feature panels, workshops, and masterclasses on the music industry and the art of creativity. TikTok, one of the festival’s sponsors, will host a panel discussion that will consider how social media platforms like TikTok help to export the continent’s creative talents to the world.
