With some help from Netflix, multi award winning rapper, and actor Folarin Falana aka Falz took his bestie, Nse Ikpe-Etim around the city of Lagos on an episode of ‘Made in Africa’. They started from his primary school to the beautiful beaches, experiencing the center of excellence through the places that formed him.

Falz and Nse were co stars in the 2020 action comedy Quam’s Money which was written by Chinaza Onuzo, directed by Kayode Kasum, and is currently streaming on Netflix. Quam’s Money was a sequel to the 2018 film New Money.

The video follows Falz and Nse as they explore the city of Lagos through Falz’s lens and experiences. The 13-minute video is one that’s filled with some stories about Falz that we’ve never heard before and is a delight to watch because of how it has been intentionally structured as a conversation between friends.

Falz reveals his first crush in primary school, takes us to the studio where his hit single Bahd Baddo Baddest from 2016 featuring Davido and Olamide was made, talks about juggling being a lawyer while trying to come up in the entertainment industry, mentions going to an Anglican church to look for babes, tells us about his love for football, and a lot more.

The video which is on the Africa On Netflix channel has crisp visuals and ends on a beautiful note as Falz and Nse sit at a pool and recount how the 2-day experience was. “I’ll definitely say it’s been deeply emotional, man. You know, just like visiting my primary school, my old house, you know all those places that we got to look at. It brought back goosebumps. You know, I haven’t been to those places ever since I left. So this was therapeutic,” Falz says.
