For an artist whose breakout came via a series of bedroom freestyles, the last couple of years have witnessed accelerated growth from her performance on Olamide’s Pon Pon to an affiliation with Mr Eazi’s Empawa initiative and her latest release marks the culmination of that growth. Fave has perfected the art of fusing sultry and addictive Afropop melodies with tropical Caribbean influences and this shines through on Riddim 5.
Last year, she found mainstream success with her performance on Baby Riddim which helped in ensuring the success of Riddim 5. Today, she gives the record a new lease of life with the release of the video for Mr Man- another stand out cut off the EP. Directed by Two Brothers, the video is essentially filmed in one scene- a dining table.
