Since Jealous shot him to fame, Fireboy DML has become one of the most exciting artists in the Nigerian orbit. This week, as he moves to solidify his footprint in the industry in his break out year he shares the long-awaited video for fan-favorite King.
Like his previous visual efforts which have been built on specific non-conformist themes, the TG Omori directed video is doused in oriental elements from the backdrops to his Asian looking muse. Looking every bit like the ‘fine boy vocal powerhouse’ he claims he is, Fireboy delivers a searing performance in different personas including a Boxer, who attempts to fight his love and a fashion appraiser with an eye for beautiful things.
Not only is the video befitting as it affords him the opportunity to artistically visualize his narrative, but it also speaks to his creative style which climbs to relevance with each release.
