Fitness Friday: Morning Workouts

I often find that I am too busy to keep up with my regular gym routine and I am sure that many of you are in the same predicament! However, dedicating just twenty minutes of your morning to a quick routine in your room will keep you fit. If you don’t have twenty minutes of your morning, take away twenty minutes of your sleep and try to get up earlier!

Here’s a quick morning routine that’ll keep you feeling well kept:

  1. 75 sit-ups with a 45 second break after every set of 25 (or crunches if you prefer)
  2. 40 jumping jacks
  3. 40 squats with a break after 20
  4. 1 minute of planking 
  5. 20 leg lifts on each leg

It might also be a good idea to invest into a punching bag. Its a good form of cardio and can be done in your room. Before you take a shower and start your day, replace your morning boost of caffeine with a glass of lemon water and you’ll feel great!
