Highlife sensation Flavour N’abania has released his first offering of 2022, My Sweetie alongside the music video.
On this Masterkraft-produced song, Flavour samples late Sierra Leonan musician, Bunny Mack 1979 track Let Me Love You. My Sweetie opens with a guitar melody in the background that is sure to get one moving one’s waist in rhythm. On this mellifluous track, Flavour is on a quest for his true love regardless of being heartbroken in the past.
The accompanying colourful music video was shot in Lagos and Miami by Patrick Elis and features a cameo appearance by American fashion influencer, Gabriella Ndungu.
Speaking about the concept for the music video, Aïssa N’Sele, the creative director said that they wanted to “capture a highly energetic and vibrant video depicting Flavour travelling all over the world to find his ‘Sweetie’”.
My Sweetie music video was released amidst Flavour’s ongoing North American tour “Level’d Up Tour 2022” which began on August 13th in Dallas, Texas, and has seen the energetic singer perform across several US cities from New York, Chicago, and Washington D.C as well clinching the Best Alternative Song at the prestigious Headies Awards 2022.
