Eastern Highlife act, Flavour, recorded platinum sales on his new LP, ‘Thankful’ in record time of 5 days. No spectacular hype or promo preceded the album release, just a single “Wake Up” featuring Wande Coal which garnered about 300,000 views, which is relatively low compared to the views on some of his more popular songs.
According to Obiano Music, Flavour’s marketer, all the printed albums on the street have been sold out. He went further to say that it is a bit lukewarm for an influential artist of Flavour’s stature as sales commenced in the East where Flavour is undoubtedly popular. However, this news must be tempered by the fact that the Nigerian industry does not have a particularly strong metric system so any doubts would be perfectly valid.
The 21 track album was produced by Masterkraft and features acts like M.I, Phyno, Wande Coal and Chidinma.
