Ghanian Songbird Gyakie Releases Sophomore EP ‘My Diary’

Ghanaian music star Gyakie has released her much anticipated EP project titled My Diary. 

This release is coming after she offered a sneak peek into the project with the release of her single For My Baby on the 1st of July. My Diary follows the largely successful 2021 EP Seed, which housed her hit song Forever.

On My Diary, Gyakie borders the beautiful narrative that was birthed on her debut Seed. My Diary chronicles the star’s encounters on her path to self discovery in a blend of mellow jazz featured on the first track Audience, R&B infused in Far Away and Reggae that characterises the closing Waka Waka.

Since her debut in 2019, Gyakie has maintained an impressive track record with her latest release serving as testament to her musical evolution. From dropping successive music singles, attempting record-breaking feats, topping music charts to winning multiple awards, performing at sold out shows, headlining her own concert, and making association with powerful figures in music, Gyakie shows no sign of slowing down.

My Diary carries her efforts to satisfy expectations in melodious composition, vocal delivery, lyrical dexterity, and an imaginative story-telling prowess.
