When we think of Davido, we think of an artist and individual who prides himself on being able to help others. After being awarded at the 12th Headies, he urged other artists and privileged individuals to do everything they can to give others a leg up as he was surrounded by a mob on stage. As an artist as well placed as he is, most of his help to others has come through signing new artists. Since restructuring and creating DMW, he has taken in artists like Mayorkun, Dremo, Ichaba, Yonda, Peruzzi and producer Fresh. The latest addition to the family is Idowest, an artist who has been closely tied to DMW since the release of his record Shepeteri late last year.
A new addition that we’ll definitely see a lot of either in form of collaborations or writing influences for some of the label’s other acts.
