In celebration of the ongoing Ramadan festivities which began with the fasting on Saturday 1st March, 2025, International brand of seasonings Maggi has introduced a new Nigerian TV series Tales of Ramadan to different terrestrial and cable TV stations across Nigeria. Set in Northern Nigeria, the series follows the lives of different families during the Muslims’ holy month— spotlighting themes such as family relations, friendship, and festivity in the holy month, and offering a narrative that is culturally rich.
Written by Tomi Folowosele and directed by Orire Nwani, the series contains a stellar cast that includes Uzee Usman, Ummi Baba Ahmed, Ijapari Ben-Hirki, and Adam Garba, all delivering an exquisite viewership experience. The producers of the show are Josh Olaoluwa, Ifeoluwa Fatogun and Hope Eniayekan for Conceptified Media, with the cinematography credited to Davidson ‘Fedworks’ Edeogu.

This project comes on the heels of decade-long collaborations and domestic success between Orire Nwani and Josh Olaoluwa, as well as their recognition with global outfits such as Venice Film Festival, Film Independent, Red Sea Foundation, Torino Film Lab, and Slamdance amongst others. Nwani and Josh have worked together on productions such as award-winning film Love and Seclusion, Prime Video series Grind, and The Wives, among others.
Courtesy of Maggi, a heritage brand that has been in Africa since the 1950s , Tales of Ramadan will air for six weeks, beginning from March 1st, 2025, on major global networks like Africa Magic, Zee World and NTA.
