Inside Day One of Beauty in the Motherland 2026 with Vaseline and Dove

Beauty in the Motherland (BITML) 2026 opened in Lagos on October 5, with Vaseline and Dove putting skin health at the centre of the experience. Through interactive product displays and skincare conversations, the brands asked guests one question: “What does healthy skin mean to you?”

As headline sponsors of the three-day event, Vaseline and Dove brought their message, “The Real Flex Is Healthy Skin,” to life. While beauty professionals and industry leaders discussed the trends, challenges and opportunities shaping Africa’s beauty industry, visitors to the booth were invited to get to know their own skin.

Guests were welcomed by side-by-side branded walls introducing each brand’s featured products. Vaseline showcased its jellies, oils and lotions, including the Healthy Bright, Cocoa Glow and Even Tone lotions; the Cocoa Radiant, Coconut Restore and Healthy Bright oils; and the Original, Cocoa Butter and Aloe Fresh jellies. Dove spotlighted its Advanced Care range, which promises even-toned underarms in two weeks. In the exhibition hall, Vaseline’s signature blue and Dove’s white and gold made the booth impossible to miss.

On the Vaseline side, the Skin Proof Lab and Texture Bar let visitors explore their skin’s needs, try different textures and find suitable products. Estheticians were on hand to help guests identify their skin type and recommend the right Vaseline products.

The Dove side focused on “superior care,” with products that help protect skin and even out tone. Guests tried the Advanced Care Deodorant, formulated with ¼ moisturising cream, and the exfoliating scrub, a reminder that effective skincare means giving skin the care it deserves.

Visitors also enjoyed event-exclusive discounts on Vaseline and Dove products.

From skin consultations and product discovery to portraits and hands-on trials, both brands turned the conversation about healthy skin into something guests could understand and take part in.
