Drill Driver, Jaiye Teams Up With L.K And Mojo On ‘Kweng It’

Being a pioneer of the UK Drill sub-genre in Nigeria, Jaiye has not relented in his efforts to push the unconventional sound, in his bid to constantly create perfection. He kicked off his music career in 2018 with the release of his first single titled Itchin’, which is basically an introduction of himself to the world. Since then, he has gone on to prove that his music is a portal to his persona, one that is largely influenced by his nationality. Kweng It, his 2021 debut which features Chop Life Crew duo, Mojo, and LK, is a renewed attempt at connecting with his roots and familiarizing the world with his sound.

Despite its edginess inspired by Drill’s dominant resounding percussions, Kweng It allows for easy passage of sifted mind-altering lyrics alluding to their takes on relationships, credibility, lust, and more, that shifts through different moods, inspired by the strength of their individuality.

After making a huge impression on fans with his debut project, Foreign, a fusion of different sub-genres of Hip-Hop, Trap, and Afrobeats, Jaiye has found his music to be a unique experience birthed from in-depth creativity and diversity. Now, with Kweng It and a welcome partnership with Chop Life Crew, a group that aligns with his artistry, he leaves more room for revision and acclaim.
