Joeboy Opens 2023 With “Body and Soul”

Riding the wave of an exciting explosion in Afro-pop sounds around the world, Nigerian music artist Joeboy has released his latest single Body & Soul. The single highlights Joeboy’s talent for writing love songs that incorporate African and Caribbean influences.

Joeboy, who hails from Lagos, has made a name for himself as one of the biggest hitmakers in Afrobeats, amassing over 3 billion streams and collaborating with artists such as Diplo, Bad Bunny, and Mr Eazi. His music has received attention from media outlets such as Rolling Stone, COLORS, Vice, Billboard, Complex, and The FADER.

In 2019, Joeboy released his debut EP and later featured on the hit single Nobody with DJ Neptune and Mr Eazi. In 2021, he released his debut album Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic, which received positive reviews and was named as one of the year’s best albums by Rolling Stone.

He has also been featured on Bad Bunny’s Enséñame a Bailar and on the official remix of Ckay’s Love Nwantiti, the first Afrobeats song to go double platinum in the US.
