Following songs like Give You Love and Eji Owuro, Juls is back with After Six.
After Six is a slow, up-beat RnB story of a girl – Tomi Agape – and her lover who are having nothing but good vibes and a whole lot of love. With nothing but the wish to show him a “good time”, Tomi sings smoothly and sweetly. Juls features upcoming singer Tomi Agape and rapper (that’s what we’re going to go with) Santi who add elements of soul and a bit of reggae into the beat. The video was directed by Tshisz Nelson.
The cinematography generally centres around the “golden hour” theme and at times switching to more cool tones. It was interesting how the clocks in the video were actually set “after six”. The costumes were Afrocentric and complemented the style and dance steps.
