Best known for his production work and collaborations with GoldLink, Mr Eazi, Burna Boy and Masego among others, British-Ghanaian DJ and Producer, Juls returns with new single, Blessed which follows his critically acclaimed solo EP Happy Place and Fufu & Grits, his collaborative project with Soulection’s Sango.
A slow-burning and smooth summertime track signature to Juls’s dynamic artistry, Blessed effortlessly channels the unique sounds of African Alternative music: which majorly borders on Afro-Fusion, RnB, and Afrobeat.
Guest vocalists Miraa May and Donae’O jump on board to caress the track with ease and finesse, drawing us into the heady ambiance they inspire with words like “I manifest whatever it is I desire, my vibration is higher, even when my soul is on fire” and the galvanic drums going off in the background.
Juls has mastered the art of bringing the airy feeling of summer to whatever season he makes a return in and despite it being summer presently, the pandemic has soaked up it’s accompanying feelings but with Blessed, we’re made to feel like it again.
