Kanu Appointed SSA on Sports to Imo State Governor

Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, has named former Arsenal and Super Eagles legend Kanu Nwankwo, as his Senior Special Assistant on Sports. The announcement which was made at a state dinner in Owerri was made on the 15th of August.

The striker who represented Nigeria from 1994 to 2010 will be tasked with bringing his knowledge to the fore in the bid to develop and grow the state’s sports sector.

Since retiring, Kano has dedicated a fair share of his time to assisting children with limited resources get cardiac surgery.

The Gov has announced Kanu Nwankwo as his SSA on Sports.

This was revealed to the legendary play maker Papilo, as he is fondly called, in a special dinner organized to welcome the former Super Eagles Legend who was recently Awarded by CAF, the largest football body in Africa. pic.twitter.com/6q2yx4erCz
