With a goal to bow out of 2020 on a high note following the release of his fan-favorite debut earlier this year, the artist meets Songwriter, Kaptain shares two-part single, Love Ship, an eponymously titled body of work that leverages his ability to spin fairytales from loose lyrics and Mikaba and Wonder Beatz’s sound dexterity.
Kaptain describes his style of music as a fusion of Rap and Afrobeat and his impressive run in 2020 which has seen him achieve over eight million streams across digital platforms, is proof of this coupled with the way he navigates matters of heart, choppily but rhythmically on This Kind Love and Lor Lor, the two singles on Love Ship.
While Love Ship doesn’t come with the same energy Kaptain rode on on Kapacity, the two-part single, retains his intent, for both himself and his artistry.
