Afro-pop Nigerian musicians Kida Kudz and Mr Dutch have released a joint extended play (EP) titled “World citizens”. The four-track EP is Kida’s first project since his Top Member album of 2021. For Mr Dutch, it is his first body of work.
Written and recorded in Lagos and London, the EP blends sounds from Nigerian Afrobeats and the UK Afrobeats scene.
Artists like Barry Jhay and Sam Wise are featured in this EP, in the songs Never Stopping and Snap Dat respectively. The EP’s other two songs are Rocket Launcher and Dancing Animal.
Kida Kudz first shot to fame in 2010, when he won the second season of Peak Talent Show after competing in it as a rapper. He has since switched from rap to Afropop. Mr Dutch found fame with singles like “Antidote”, “Better Soup”, and “E No Finish” in which he features Burna Boy.
