The three-day experience will bring skin science, dermatological consultations and 15% off products at Living Lab Nigeria, open to the public on 5 and 6 November

In Lagos, skincare is as much a part of everyday conversation as beauty. Yet questions about dark spots, acne and sun protection often go unanswered. A 2026 multinational study published in Clinical and Experimental Dermatology offers a glimpse into sun-protection habits, finding that 2.6% of its Nigerian respondents used facial sunscreen regularly. This November, La Roche-Posay is creating a space to explore these conversations with dermatologists and discover the science behind healthy skin.
Living Lab Nigeria comes to Oasis by The Five Palm, Victoria Island, on 5 and 6 November 2026. The experience will feature interactive innovation corners for the popular ranges, dermatologist consultations, and a pop-up store in partnership with Konga.
“Skincare has become an increasingly important conversation in Nigeria, but greater interest also needs to be matched by access to credible information,” said Nadia Amasa, L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty. “Living Lab gives us an opportunity to bring our science closer to the people we serve. We want consumers to be able to ask questions, engage with experts and better understand their skin and the science behind the products they use.”
At the heart of Living Lab Nigeria are daily plenary sessions and five dedicated Innovation Corners where guests can explore the Mela B3, Anthelios, Effaclar, Cicaplast and Lipikar ranges through hands-on experiences. Together, the spaces address concerns that come up often in local skincare conversations, from hyperpigmentation and acne to sun protection, sensitivity and skin barrier care.
The Blue House will take guests through more than five decades of La Roche-Posay research and innovation, while the Scars of Life Cinema will introduce visitors to Scars of Life, a brand film exploring the physical and emotional impact of atopy and atopic-prone skin. Dermatologists and skincare experts will also be available throughout the public event for individual consultations.
“Many people only see a dermatologist once a skin concern has become difficult to manage, and there is still a great deal of misinformation around concerns such as acne and hyperpigmentation,” said Dr. Folakemi Cole-Adeife, Consultant Physician & Dermatologist, member of the L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty MedSquad. “Creating spaces where people can engage directly with dermatologists and ask questions about their skin can support better understanding, earlier intervention and more informed skincare choices.”
Beyond the science, Living Lab Nigeria will also bring together the social side of the skincare conversation with a La Roche-Posay Café and a Pop-Up Store in partnership with Konga, where guests can discover and purchase La Roche-Posay products, with 15% off all purchases made during the experience.
A media preview will take place on 4 November 2026, ahead of the public experience on 5 and 6 November. Media representatives interested in attending can click here https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf18VEKjAfhcBxi5JXxjGixCKYGYuf-FRjf3G_guwJ3ojKPqw/viewform?usp=header to register.
