Since Red Dots, Laime and Telz have weathered the storm that is the force of the Nigerian music industry which usually cripples nonconformists. Its 2020 and with a five-track debut EP and a handful of singles later, the eclectic duo are still a tandem sharing good music. On the former’s latest, Oga Boss, they make their way back to each other with a fine addition of fellow up and comers, Buju and Bad Boy Timz, whose unorthodox flavors heighten the already seasoned trap inspired sound.
Buju leads the pack with an off-kilter delivery alluding to his next level lifestyle, paving the way for Laime and Bad Boy Timz to saturate the heady ambiance with movement inducing lyrics, a great addition to Telz’s golden mix of sprightly keys and 808s.
