Rapper and Pop Maven, Lil Wayne fresh off his divorce with Cash Money and Birdman has announced a deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation imprint. It is still unclear as to what form the new relationship (Roc Nation function as both a label and artiste management) will take. The announcement was made at Summer Jam KMEL in San Francisco.
It is worth noting that Lil Wayne turned down the opportunity to sign with Jay Z’s Roc A Fella before going on to sign Cash Money/ Universal. The two have however collaborated over the years over cuts like Mr Carter, Hello Brooklyn and Swagger Like Us. On 2010’s A Star is Born, Jay Z said
