Today’s thoroughly enlightening session of I Said Was I Said had our favorites conjuring up Ferraris with sexpert, beauty therapist and CEO of Mydisiac Tobi Kukoyi, in tow. Titled The Special Package Episode, the much-anticipated episode was all about Lagos’ most coveted poison, the most controversial yet curiously successful product in the last year- Kayanmata. In rib-cracking and informative bits, all three women demystify the very common and misguided opinions about the Nigerian version of a potential billion-dollar product.
‘Kayanmata’ means ‘woman’s property’ in the Hausa dialect. So ordinary for a word that’s turned a part of IG into a Nigerian version of Diagon Alley and a lot of us peering at product reviews for hours wondering how on God’s earth putting a man in bondage became a trend. It turns out, Kayanmata is a special aphrodisiac and nothing more but poorly misguided marketing tactics. Oh, and it’s special because it is made with all-natural herbs and potions and works accordingly to the karma/ energies you attract when you’re using it. Basically, your intentions. Pretty interesting, isn’t it?
Breaking the myths about the eyesores that fill our online feed, Tobi educates a very rapt audience on the connection between Kayanmata and our traditional beliefs, the absence of side effects, pushing for NAFDAC registration and so much more.
