Releasing his second amapiano single, Canada, after the Sarz-produced hit track, Monalisa, Nigerian pop artist, Lojay collaborates with veteran DJs and record producers, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small of South Africa to give his audience an impressive fusion of authentic Naija and Jozi “flava”.
The gifted Nigerian singer-songwriter gives us a driving dance track that is set to take over the airwaves, clubs and parties all through the upcoming festive season. With its hot Afro-house beat, unrelenting and rhythmic hook, Canada is the perfect follow-up track to Lojay’s wildly popular single Leader!
Produced by DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Herc Cut The Lights, the electrifying track immediately transports any listener to the beautiful rooftops of Johannesburg — a nice whiskey sour in hand along with an abundance of titillating body movements.
In his verses, Lojay addresses the transactional relationships that permeate today’s world, especially between men and women pursuing a certain kind of status that comes with being based abroad. While his pursuit is the pursuit of love, his “lover’s” pursuit revolves around looking for a way to get to Canada.

The track also revels in the comical nature of these kinds of situations and is filled with dancefloor-friendly lines and chants from DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small as they sing in Zulu and English,
