In June 2021, Lojay, in collaboration with Sarz released his debut EP LV N ATTN. The duo joined forces to release a sizzling 5-track Afro-Fusion EP, which announced Lojay’s arrival and contained hits like LV N ATTN, featuring Wizkid. Standout track Monalisa has demonstrated its massive transatlantic reach by peaking at No.1 on Shazam’s Global Afrobeats chart and within the top 10 on both the US & UK Official Afrobeat charts. With over 100m plays, Monalisa became the soundtrack of the summer, making a cultural statement.
Almost a year later, Lojay and Sarz have teamed up with R&B superstar, Chris Brown for a Monalisa remix. The remix infuses Chris Brown’s unique sound into the already hypnotic song that put Lojay on the map as one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising cultural exports and cemented Sarz’s reputation as the most significant name in Afrobeats. The Monalisa remix showcases Lojay’s sublime vocals alongside Sarz’s slick production which blends contemporary Afrobeats with urgent Hip-Hop and sensual R&B sounds carried by Chris Brown.
