This. Song. Is. A. Banger.
You know how songs often start off slow, reach a climax and then dip? This is not one of those songs. From the moment you hit play you are inundated with different levels and forms of musicality. The track starts off strong, maintains the tempo and doesn’t fall off at any point.
It is a conglomeration of different sounds. You have the predominant reggae sound, you also have that Ghanian-sound infusion brought in by TMXO (who sounds too much like Omar streling. Gosh), then the recurring chant that just provides that juju feel. To cap it all up is that signature Yung L sound.
“The blessing dey your back, stop fronting”.
Long story short, It is a rather energetic song that moves you like almost nothing else can. Loose definitely struck gold with 5 alive.
