M.I Abaga is paving an immersive and inclusive path to his sixth studio album, Pillow Talk And Sweet Dreams, one that’s parallel to his last album, A Study On Self Worth: Yxng Dxnzl which focused on his approach to life in different forms. The forthcoming album’s lead single, Crown Of Clay, spotlights his persona, while on All My Life, his latest with Oxlade, shifts focus to love as a subject.
A feel-good ballad with romance at its core, All My Life opens with lithing percussion and Oxlade’s delicate vocals, before making way for an infectious chorus and Abaga’s slick, heartfelt bars.
Accompanied by a colorful music video directed by Olu The Wave which features elderly couples showing their love for one another, a perfect illustration of the duo’s intent, the Chopstix-produced All My Life is classic M.I, reminding of the many love songs such as One Naira and Playlist, that have become his calling card through his storied career.
