M.I Abaga Shares The Video For Lekki Off His Rendezvous Project

Months after releasing his first ever mainstream conformed project that has now been followed by his critically acclaimed narrative driven album, Nigerian hip-hop connoisseur and Chocolate City boss; M.I Abaga shares the visuals for Lekki; the Odunsi (The Engine), Ajebutter 22 and Falz assisted acclaimed single off the project.

The comedic video follows the plot of the highly relatable fast paced track, opening with a dialogue between the track’s main muse and her man who’s played by popular Nigerian comedian; Nedu. It soon loses its domestic flavoring as it takes a wild turn showcasing raunchy sceneries of the reality of the underdogs of ‘Lekki’, an allusion to female social epiphytes in Lagos.

As the trio take turns in controlling the narratives serving as backdrops to different color heavy scenes, we are inducted into the reality of a large number of objectified women in Nigeria and while it might seem funny and interesting, its underlying message is far from superficial.
