Watch The Appealing Video For Maleek Berry’s ‘Far Away’

Off his earlier released, seven-track-long introspective session, Isolation Room, powered by his signature bass-driven RnB Pop sound, comes the even more heady video for Far Away, the first track, and a standout off the EP.

The video, which is an aesthetically pleasing visualization of his compelling narrative, dramatic and rousing with dimly lit shots of himself and his muse going through the motions, also sees Maleek Berry serving as Creative Director and Co-Director, along with George Guise of Visionnaire Pictures.

Speaking about the video, Maleek says: “Shooting this video was exhilarating, being the Creative Director, I got the chance to really tell the story, breathing more life into the lyrics of Far Away and the snippet of Don’t Wanna that we introduce towards the end. Co-Directing with George was brilliant as he understood the vision.“

Released on his own Berry’s Room label, Isolation Room was made during the lockdown and comes ahead of his brand new album, scheduled for early 2021 release. It also showcases Maleek’s ingenious way of fusing elements of RnB, Pop, Soul, and Afrobeat, to create a sound rich in a multitude of genres and uniquely his own.
