Breathe Music, a talent showcase platform by the Nigerian candy brand TomTom, officially releases Breathe Anthem by Mani Lapussh. Joining Lapussh in the song is Mavin Records’ marquee artiste Rema.
A singer, rapper and songwriter, Mani Lapussh won the 2021 TomTom Breathe For It challenge, a competition that received more than 500 entries. Winning the challenge secured for Lapussh a feature song with Rema, a cash prize of one million naira, and a year’s supply of Tom Tom candy.
Lapussh did not fail to give props to the platform that brought him his first batch of fame, as he sings early in the song, “na TomTom dey help me wey make me fit give dem the lamba.”
Melding with Rema’s cool delivery, Lapussh boasts about his ability as a musician in this song, whose quick tempo and rhythmic drums mark it as destined for the dancefloor.
