Benin-city native, Marz is an emerging singer who joins a growing roster of exceptional musical talents springing from the ancient city. His style of music is a unique fusion of Afrobeat and Hip Hop, powered by what he terms “masterful storytelling” and “elite wordplay”. On the back of this fusion, he can tell compelling stories that are reflective of his background. Today, he shares Favour, the first single off his debut EP, Trip To Marz, slated for an end-of-year release.
On Favour, Marz references personal experiences in a manner that makes his story relatable. With lines like “even blind man dey see something”, Marz preaches self-reliance and the dignity that comes with making your own money as the key ingredient for success.
