Mr Eazi year has been marked by progress which has put him in the conversation for global faces of Afrobeat music alongside Wizkid and Davido. He has and continues to tour the world in promotion of Lagos To Accra, his last project. One of the numerous collaborations on the body of work was Short Skirt which featured Tekno and was produced by Maleek Berry and while the track is probably more remembered for Tekno and his declaration of support for fake Versace, it remains a top notch record.
In the video which was shot in London, Eazi strays from the norm of having directors like Sesan or Clarence Peters taking charge by working with relative newcomer, Alexx A as joint directors. There is also some indication that he gets help from Odunsi and Amarachi Nwosu in writing the story. The video also immediately brings a scene from the movie Phone Swap to mind as Mr Eazi engages in multiple businesses as an Uber driver, bartender and delivery man. While Tekno and Maleek Berry are absent, Mr Eazi is supported by members of BK Chat LDN, Eddie Kadi and Oyemykke.
