After the announcement of Gdzilla as Jonzing World signee, the musician receded from the limelight, and now four months later, the Afrobeats singer has returned to crafting work that will have ears logged unto his sound. Setting the motion for his musical career, Gdzilla has released his debut single, High Tension with its beats and melancholic lyrics demonstrating both his extraordinary talent and promise.
On the high-tempo track, the Lagos-born artist sings about his preparedness to take on the Nigerian music industry. The track reflects Gdzilla’s spectacular introduction. With a mask modeled after the well-known fictional dinosaur Godzilla, the enigmatic quality of his mask is closely associated with Ruger; his labelmate’s eyepatch, which continues to be a distinctive emblem of his personality and a pointer to his audacious move of taking the Nigerian music industry by storm.
